Maybe this is not the most beautiful village in Italy, but certainly worth a visit: Sorrento. Sorrento is set on the peninsula Sorrentina and makes an excellent base for visits to the jetset island of Capri, the rugged coastline of Amalfi, raw Naples, the bay, Pompei and the vulcan Vesuvio.
