Ever since our first joint meeting with Italy in 2003, we have had a 'weakness' for this country. The beautiful -versatile- landscape, delicious food & wine, the pleasant climate, beautiful language, friendly -and sometimes strange- people and of course the fashion was enough a reason to return each year. But this did not seem to be enough: we wanted more! Therefore, in 2008 we decided to change holidays into a permanent stay. Something which we have not regretted for one minute up to this day!
In Italy, there are large differences between the north and south. The north is the industrial and financial heart of Italy. Many foreign companies are located there, which lead to internationalization of this part. The 'real' Italy is found in the south of the country. There are many local products made by countless family businesses. Here, Europe can be far away sometimes. For us the reason to head for Rome to live on the edge of the 'international' and 'traditional' Italy.
